The schedule called for 6x400s twice with lots of recovery time The goal pace was about 81.5 seconds. Since it was warm and humid (well, it was for San Diego) and since my sleep pattern and eating pattern have been ridiculous interrupted the past few days, I decided to walk most of the recoveries. There was a 90 second break after each 400 and 150 second break after the first set of 6. This length break allowed me to actually hit my numbers on Monday for a change. I probably could have gone slightly faster. well, looking at the HR numbers, I guess I definitely could have gone faster.
- .25, 85s, 165 bpm
- .25, 82s, 165 bpm
- .25, 80s, 163 bpm
- .25, 82s, 164 bpm
- .25, 80s, 167 bpm
- .25, 80s, 168 bpm
- .25, 81s, 171 bpm
- .25, 79s, 169 bpm
- .25, 82s, 167 bpm
- .25, 83s, 165 bpm
- .25, 82s, 167 bpm
- .25, 79s, 171 bpm
Averaging these all together, the average time was 81.25 per 400. Very close to the goal of 81.5. Sweet!
That's it for today. Back to work.
